In each command post, there is a medical droid. This is the most common way to reload your vital juices, but there are other ways as well. First off, you can collect blue canisters from fallen foes to get a health boost. Healing During the course of battle, healing is a must, and there are several ways to get it done. In order to do that, you'll need to physically get out and stand near it. Keep in mind, however, that you cannot take over a command post from within a vehicle. You'll want to get in them early and try to take out some of the enemy's key targets, including their best vehicles. Vehicles are quite powerful and can turn the tide of battle. Don't stay in a vehicle that is about to explode. If the vehicle is about to explode (you'll know by the fact that it is smoking and in some cases, on fire), give the command "Everyone Out." That means you, too, by the way. Simply go up next to a group of your troops and tell them to "Pile In" in order to load your ride up with firepower. Some allow you to pick up other troopers. You can also issue commands when in some vehicles. However, you can switch your perspective and be a gunner or another player perched on the ride by cycling through the positions (use the secondary weapon cycle to do this). The default control in any vehicle is to pilot it. Just stand near or under it and use the vehicle enter button to climb in the driver's (or pilot's) seat. Using Vehicles You can use a vehicle at any time, provided that your team is in control of it. Make sure that whenever you are defending a command post, you stand near one of these devices and reap the benefits as you hold down the fort. Near each command post, there are several droids for refilling your characters vitals-health, ammo and grenades. The more troopers you have in the area, the faster the color will change. Once you stand there long enough, the command post icon will fill to be your team's color (green) and logo. Once you do, stand near the marker to change it away from the enemy color (red) and to the neutral color (white). To take a command post, eliminate all of the enemies around that area. Controlling them all means that the opposition cannot respawn, and once you do, the victory will count down. The battle will end if either one team exterminates the other, or one squad controls all of the command posts. Captured command posts serve as respawn points for your team, so you'll want to control as many as possible as early as possible to get a stranglehold on the map. The more command posts you control, the more troops you will have. This is an effective command for use when you're trying to scramble and take up a lot of positions quickly in the single player game.Ĭommand Posts Apart from killing the enemy, controlling command posts is the other major objective of Battlefront. Hold Position: Use this command when you want a group of fighters to stay and guard an area-usually a command post-while you go and seek glory elsewhere.
